    Liver disease is categorized both by the cause and the effect it has on the liver.

  Causes may include
     
    infection,
     
    injury,
     
    alcohol
     
    exposure to drugs or toxic compounds,
     
    an autoimmune process,
       
    or a genetic defect (such as hemochromatosis).
       
    Exposure to cigarette smoke
       
    Obesity
       
    Airway hyperactivity (an exaggerated airway responsiveness to various stimuli)
       
  These causes can lead to hepatitis, cirrhosis, stones that develop and form blockages, fatty liver, and in rare instances liver cancer. Genetic defects can prevent vital liver functions and lead to the deposition and build-up of damaging substances, such as iron or copper.

  Symptoms
   
    Dark yellow urination and pale complexion are the two common symptoms of this disease.
     
    It has been observed that yellowing of skin starts from the face and then it pervades in every part of a person’s body. The first organ to show this symptom is the eyes.
     
    One can experience a kind of itchy feeling in his/her skin if he/she is affected by this disease.
     
    Loss of appetite is usual,
     
    Nausea and weight loss.
     
    Have nosebleeds
     
    Blood pressure may increase
